Loving and caring for disabled pets!

culture, pets

I have 3 disabled pets out of our 6. Well 5 and one foster dog! 2 cats and 4 dogs.

I started a site called Gimpy Pets over a year ago to promote the positive light in caring for disabled pets. Too many animals are overlooked due to either physical or emotional conditions. Time and love can do wonders for these broken little animals.

Please LIKE my other Facebook Gimpy Pets or follow my Gimpy Pet blog!  We would love more fans! Spread the word please if you are an animal lover like me! 🙂

My crew is super happy and thriving very well.  Here’s some of their stories!

We adopted a cat named Harper who was dumped in the streets and found very ill. He was in intensive care for quite a while. He ended up getting cancer from one of his vaccines and had to have his rear leg amputated. This was over a year ago and he is doing very well!

Candy our wee little gal Papillon was dumped in the streets and left for dead. She was found with a very bad upper respiratory infection. She has 3 working legs. One of her front legs was damaged when she was a pup. Probably got stepped on. She was very afraid of men and would run from them at first. She is doing fantastic now, loving life and loving us and her brothers and sisters. It took about a year and half for her to totally accept my husband. Now she is his snuggle buddy and will give him loads of kisses!! Time heals all wounds for sure!

And then there is Oonagh! She was a puppy mill dog used for breeding. With a rough start she is now a happy gal in our home! She is missing her right eye but that does not take away from how beautiful she is. She probably is the sweetest dog on the planet. Not a mean bone in her body!
