Working on a “Vintage Family” painting and wondering who was she? Her name (that is marked on the photo ) is Josephine Morel from Ireland. This is my husbands side of the family. An old photo late 1800’s? Very early 1900’s? Not sure! This is one of many many of the old pics that I selected to paint.
Of course, I looked up her name and I am pretty sure this Josephine is not currently on Linkedin! 😉
Well going to have to pick my father in laws brain on who she was…….
So while perusing the internet for tattoo ideas (for my next or should I say, my second tattoo) I came across so many wonderful pieces of artwork permanently inked onto the skin. I am amazed by some with their detail and others with their vivid colors.
I found that there are tattoos called “Watercolor Tattoos”. Many are visually stunning, very creative and just plain amazing!!! Yes, yes!!! This style is what I am now interested in my next tat! But it must have a purposeful meaning before it can be inked my personal canvas
Being an artist myself, I appreciate the precision and detail of some tattoos out their. I am not a huge fan of the old school type artwork. Though amazing, not something I want added to my body. I really found some great artists that you all need to check out!
Sasha Unisex is a tattoo artist from St. Petersburg, Russia. I was blown away by her use of color and lack of black outlined tattoo work. So pretty and her shading is perfect from what I can tell in the photos. I WANT!!!!!! 🙂
Then I found this style, Stencil and Watercolor Tattoos. Also crazy amazing! I like the combination of the text with the artwork.
If you just Google Watercolor tattoos, you will find pages and pages of amazing artwork and inspiration! I know I am amazed and inspired!!! 🙂

I have 3 disabled pets out of our 6. Well 5 and one foster dog! 2 cats and 4 dogs.
I started a site called Gimpy Pets over a year ago to promote the positive light in caring for disabled pets. Too many animals are overlooked due to either physical or emotional conditions. Time and love can do wonders for these broken little animals.
Please LIKE my other Facebook Gimpy Pets or follow my Gimpy Pet blog! We would love more fans! Spread the word please if you are an animal lover like me! 🙂
My crew is super happy and thriving very well. Here’s some of their stories!
We adopted a cat named Harper who was dumped in the streets and found very ill. He was in intensive care for quite a while. He ended up getting cancer from one of his vaccines and had to have his rear leg amputated. This was over a year ago and he is doing very well!
Candy our wee little gal Papillon was dumped in the streets and left for dead. She was found with a very bad upper respiratory infection. She has 3 working legs. One of her front legs was damaged when she was a pup. Probably got stepped on. She was very afraid of men and would run from them at first. She is doing fantastic now, loving life and loving us and her brothers and sisters. It took about a year and half for her to totally accept my husband. Now she is his snuggle buddy and will give him loads of kisses!! Time heals all wounds for sure!
And then there is Oonagh! She was a puppy mill dog used for breeding. With a rough start she is now a happy gal in our home! She is missing her right eye but that does not take away from how beautiful she is. She probably is the sweetest dog on the planet. Not a mean bone in her body!

Have you ever heard of the magazine called “Mary Jane’s Farm” ? Me neither!!!! My friend brought it over the other day to show me some sewing ideas in it.
It’s a cool organic lifestyle magazine that has articles on how to make interesting dishes to eat, how to guide on crafty ideas and home and garden help.
I liked the article in the volume 10 #5 edition on recycling a vintage wool coat into a cute little heirloom teddy bear! AND it also gives you a link to a website to be able to donate your creations to children in homeless shelters, hospitals and to paramedics who keep them on hand and give them children in need of emergency comfort! Excellent idea!
Here is the site if you are crafty and want to donate handmade dolls and stuffed animals.
Check it out!
