  1. Please can you send me the free belly band pattern for boy dogs-I can’t seem to find it-thank you so much πŸ™‚

  2. What is the seam allowance for this pattern (apologies if I missed it in reading the instructions)? Looks like about 5/8″.

    1. 5/8″ is good!! I think I have it at 1/2″ but it really doesn’t matter with this pattern. πŸ™‚

  3. Can I buy a jacket for pets that are afraid of storms I know you sell the pattern but I don’t sow and don’t have anyone to I would buy it

    1. I don’t sell the sewing pattern. I was going to post it and then received a letter from the people who own The Thundershirt stating that I was copying their product. Even though my pattern is not the same as their design, I decided to stop. So I can’t make them anymore either. I don’t want to create anymore conflict with their product. Was too bad since mine were made with vintage fabrics and not the same design.

  4. Janice,
If your anxiety shirt was working for your customers please continue to make and sell them. There are many companies who make simular products (for example) and make them better. It’s called competition. It’s America!

  5. Thank you so much for the bellyband pattern. my 12-year-old miniature schnauzer has been diagnosed with Cushing’s and I was beside myself knowing what to do. I found your pattern and made it today thank you so much, it’s perfect!

  6. DANNA, this is rather late to the date, but you can buy thunder jackets in many pet supply stores….but if you know anyone that sews, I would do it that way, then you can personalize it, and the fit will be much better.
I no I will be making belly bands and thunder jackets, thank you so much for sharing these patterns……I volunteer with rescues and these can be costly items if needed to be purchased…..but they really are worth it as they work excellently

    1. Your welcome! I am glad that these patterns have been useful to many people and rescues!!! πŸ™‚

  7. thank you so much….. 2 things I would like to share:
#1 – I will be making one for my older, grumpier cat.
#2 – I will be making some for our local rescues IF its ok with you… please let me know if it is not.
you are a blessing. again… thank you!

    1. Make as many as you like!! And thank you for helping the animals in your local rescues!

  8. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I have 4 Chinese Shar-Pei dogs. 1 male and 3 females
The Male especially goes nuts then the smoke alarm goes off and it takes hours for him to calm down.
I made your Anxiety Shirt for him and it has been a wonderful resolve for our problem. I am now making shirts for the 3 females.
Again Thank You for sharing your pattern.

  9. Thank you so much for posting this for download! Sharing it is so generous for those of us who have fur babies who also suffer.. ~SR

  10. I have a Great Dane/German Shepherd mix who is terrified of thunderstorms. I have been wanting a calming jacket for him but his huge size means I’d have to spend almost $50. So since I’m on a limited budget, lots of hugs and soothing words are all I’ve been able to do for him. Now that I’ve found your pattern, I can make him one myself. Thank goodness my mom taught me to sew, & I have a working sewing machine. Considering making a few for our local pet shelter, as well. Since I can’t volunteer to help out there, this is a nice way to support their efforts. Thank you for sharing this pattern! (Also, I’m curious what a belly band is used for?)

    1. Hi Christina! Excellent! I am glad you will be creating one for your pup!
Yes, I have had others tell me they made them for their local shelters too!
The belly bands are for dogs who mark in the house.
