This design is called the “Jill”. Named after a dear old friend that has passed away since the inception of this bag. She wanted something long and lean to hold her checkbook and her wallet. So this is what I came up with. Since then the exterior pocket has been rounded a bit and the bag is a wee bit bigger! I think I will have to get the sewing pattern started for this bag design! 🙂
So I am gearing up for the holidays now! Never too early! I am hoping to get in a few different holiday art and craft fairs this fall/winter.
My goal is to make loads of totes in various sizes, zip pouches, pet products, silk screen t shirts an some other fun creations!
Of course will post some up on my ETSY pages to sell too!

OK people! My carpet bag is finished! I will keep at it and then make the sewing pattern to sell eventually!
I love these leather handles from Homestead Heirloom LLC in Wisconsin! Fabric is a chenille upholstery fabric I had laying around. I lined it with a fun cotton fabric!
I am putting together a newbie! I am making a carpet bag with leather handles. So far so good! I am one to just go for it and not make a muslin sample. I always either cut out a pattern as I go or write dimensions. This one is lined with some lightweight cotton from my pile of Alexander Henry fabrics. The exterior is a nice chenille blend.
I hope to complete it tomorrow or by early next week. Of course will post when done!
Come get it!!
A cheeky take on the ol’ fanny pack! Great for anyone that is a vendor at craft fairs. You can carry everything you need for your sales. Especially your money pouch!
Also a great design for anyone who is in the service industry like a waiter or waitress, or wedding coordinator and needs to be hands on with their stuff!
