An oldie but a goodie!

20121011-163931.jpgThis design is called the “Jill”. Named after a dear old friend that has passed away since the inception of this bag. She wanted something long and lean to hold her checkbook and her wallet. So this is what I came up with. Since then the exterior pocket has been rounded a bit and the bag is a wee bit bigger! I think I will have to get the sewing pattern started for this bag design! ๐Ÿ™‚

I just finished these two bags! These are already claimed! BUT…………..I will be making more!
The handles are leather and USA made. These are the ones I get from the ladies of Homestead Heirloom LLC. Got them a few years back at the Knitting Expo and have been waiting for the right project to use them! They are not cheap so I did not want to waste them on just any bag style!

I used upholstery fabric for the exterior and used a fun whimsical cotton patterned fabric for the interiors. Vintage buttons for the the top front flap for the exterior pocket which has a magnetic closure. Two open rear exterior pockets and on the inside, a cellphone pocket, one roomy pocket and a pen slot!

These bags areย  10″ Tall x 11 Wide x 3.5″ Deep

If your interested in one (above fabrics might no longer be available due to limited quantities), please email me!! mackerilla@gmail.com

These will retail for $140 with leather handles and $98 with fabric strap handles

OK people! My carpet bag is finished! I will keep at it and then make the sewing pattern to sell eventually!

I love these leather handles from Homestead Heirloom LLC in Wisconsin! Fabric is a chenille upholstery fabric I had laying around. I lined it with a fun cotton fabric!
