First Friday Santa Cruz- March 2021
In 2020, Arts Council Santa Cruz County launched a new program called the Visual Arts Network. At the height of the pandemic, it became a way for me to still be visible with my buyers and stay connected with my peers. “450 Pieces” is a tri-gallery exhibition of the Visual Arts Network. The exhibit features over 450 original works of art in all media from 150+ artists throughout Santa Cruz County. The show is divided by artists’ last names amongst three commercial galleries: A - G : @rblitzer (westside in the Wrigley Building) H - R : @curatedbythesea (downtown) S - Z - @radiusgallery (Tannery Arts Center).

THE EXHIBIT
“450 Pieces” is an exhibition in partnership with Arts Council Santa Cruz, Radius Gallery, R. Blitzer Gallery, and Curated By The Sea. The show features over 450 pieces of original artwork by artist throughout Santa Cruz County. Last year in the height of the pandemic, the Arts Council created a new program called the Visual Arts Network to direct buyers and collectors to artists. Fast forward to today and we three galleries jumped on an opportunity to get the art in-house.

Felt good to get back to painting last week! Have had one new custom order to get done and then created this piece for fun! People love their Ravens and Ravens love their shiny things!! Hence the motivation for this work!

RBG ART ON STUFF
After the sad passing of the Notorious RBG, I had to paint her to honor her. She loved art from what I learned by watching her documentary. I feel she channeled her spirit in me to create the monster of a piece I painted yesterday!

I love painting this fun quirky style! The first cat is Momo. One of the duo @2chaoscats on Instagram.
The second piece is of my senior #tripawed kitty named Harper. He is around 17 years old. He is a big burly guy who is ver confident! Hence the purple power suit!😜
